The Chamber Annual Meeting Features Entrepreneur Rebecca Ryan
HUTCHINSON, Kansas (December 5, 2008) - - The Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting will have the theme, Becoming a Next Generation Community, and will feature keynote speaker Rebecca Ryan on Monday, February 9, 2009. The meeting will be held at the Grand Prairie Hotel & Convention Center beginning at 5:30 p.m. Attendees will enjoy a social/networking hour and an opportunity to visit display tables set up by sponsors of the event. The dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the program, including Ryan’s insightful presentation, will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Rebecca Ryan is the founder of Next Generation Consulting (NGC), a market research firm that studies the life and work preferences of 20-40 years olds. Her book, Live First, Work Second: Getting Inside the Head of the Next Generation, explains the generational differences between the workforce of yesterday and today. Cities, states and companies use NGC's research and applications to attract and develop the next generation of citizens, patrons, employees and customers. A respected consultant, Ms. Ryan was named the 2004 Entrepreneur of the Year by the U.S. Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship, and the 2006 Communicator of the Year by Women in Communication. Ryan’s presentation will provide insight into techniques companies and communities need to employ to attract and retain talented workers.
Tickets for the event are on sale now. If purchased before January 31st, meal tickets are priced at $28.00 or $34.00 including two drink coupons. Tables of 10 may be purchased for $240.00 or $300.00 including drink coupons. After January 31st, the meal ticket is $33.00 or $39.00 with drinks.
