to Speak at Chamber Annual Meeting
HUTCHINSON, Kansas (November 30, 2009) – Freedom--Still Our Best Investment, is
the theme for The Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting.
The meeting, featuring keynote speaker Dr. Barry Asmus, on Monday, February 1,
2010, will be held at the Grand Prairie Hotel & Convention Center. The
event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a networking hour and the opportunity to visit
display tables set up by sponsors of the event. Attendees will enjoy a dinner
buffet with Prime Rib at 6:30 p.m., followed by the program, including Dr. Asmus’s
insightful presentation, at 7:00 p.m.
Dr. Barry Asmus is a Senior Economist for the National Center
for Policy Analysis, a public policy organization that develops private
alternatives to government regulation and control. He has been named by USA
Today as one of the five most requested speakers in the United States.
As a Professor of Economics, Dr. Asmus was twice voted University Professor of
the Year and was honored with the Freedom Foundation Award at Valley Forge for
Private Enterprise Education The author of several books on political and
business issues facing America,
Dr. Asmus is a passionate advocate of free enterprise. His presentation will
center on the crucial roles freedom and democratic capitalism play in the
success of our Country and community. Freedom, Dr. Asmus asserts, is still America’s best
investment.
Tickets for the event are on sale now. If purchased before January 25th,
meal tickets are priced at $30.00 or $35.00 including two drink coupons. Tables
of 10 may be purchased for $260.00 or $310.00 including drink coupons. After
January 25th, the meal ticket is $40.00 or $45.00 with drinks. You may purchase
