Plus Hutchinson’s Convention Center is conveniently located at the Grand Prairie
Hotel in the center of our E-Loop. (See map and details on all the amenities that

Inside Convention Center The combination of the spacious halls and smaller meeting rooms provide 45,000 to 50,000 sq. ft. of conference and banquet space with state-of-the-art technology.

With the Convention Center’s central location in Hutchinson’s E-Loop, there are restaurants and shopping all around.

Salt Museum

IT’S A WHOLE NEW LEVEL for your meetings,
celebrations, and get-togethers. Uniquely located 650 feet below ground, the Events Room at the Kansas Underground Salt Museum seats up to 250 people.

It’s calm and comfortable -- an exotic subterranean world where it’s always 68° with 45% relative humidity. The Visitors Center provides above ground facilities that are available for events such as receptions, private parties, and company dinners. Information is available by calling 620-662-1425.

There’s nothing like meeting 650 feet below the Kansas prairie surrounded by salt deposits created 275 million years ago.


Hutchinson Community College
OUR CENTRALLY LOCATED community college (HCC) offers three wellequipped, attractive meeting facilities.

Shears Technology CenterRichard & Jack Parker Student Union
On-site food service, meeting and banquet facilities as well as theatre seating highlight the features provided. Call 620-665-3517 for more information.

Shears Technology Center
Also located on the campus of Hutchinson Community College, the Technology Theater provides seating for 109 in a state-of-the-art venue. Call 620-665-3550.

Stringer Fine Arts Center
Another outstanding HCC facility, the Center’s Recital Hall and Gallery Theater can cater to banquet or reception needs in a very comfortable setting.

Memorial Hall Memorial Hall
The historic hall has a stage, an open floor, and fixed seating in balconies.

Originally built in 1911, it recently has been thoroughly renovated and updated.

Memorial Hall can provide seating for 2,334 people. Information is available by calling 620-663-5861.


KSF - Domestic Arts Building Kansas State Fairgrounds
VERSATILE AND SPACIOUS OPTIONS for any occasion is why the Fairgrounds annually welcomes more than 300 events in addition to the Kansas State Fair.

KSF-Meadowlark Buiding A comprehensive master plan for the Kansas State Fair has provided upgrades to existing structures as well as the addition of new structures to enhance the environment and the functional aspects of the fairgrounds. The Fair facilities offer a wide variety of suitable accommodations for trade shows, receptions, company parties, and other events.

The handsomely-renovated Domestic Arts Building has 13,000 sq. ft. of air-conditioned comfort with a demonstration kitchen, while the Cottonwood Court can accommodate 700 in addition to hosting small gatherings in its private meeting room.

The Sunflower North and South Buildings are each 18,000 sq. ft. while the Meadowlark Building offers 40,000 sq. ft. of clear-span space. All three facilities are air-conditioned and have concession areas. The Encampment Building has two spacious halls and Hansen Auditorium with theater-style seating. The Prairie Pavilion, a 92,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose facility, has innumerable possibilities. Call 800-362-FAIR for information about renting fairgrounds facilities.

Dillon Nature CenterDillon Nature Center- Fall Dillon Nature Center
THE BEAUTY OF NATURAL SURROUNDINGS is available for your next event. Meeting and banquet space is available at this unique and breathtaking setting on the northeast
corner of Hutchinson. The Nature Center grounds also beautifully accommodate small outdoor weddings.
