Business Resources

As the business advocacy organization for Reno County, the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber is working diligently during this time of uncertainty to support the business community.  This page is a collection of resources, highlights, and best practices we've gathered from State agencies, other Chambers of Commerce, and various credible sources.  Please check back regularly as we continue to update this page frequently.

  • SPARK Grants Program -  The Strengthening People and Revitalizing Kansas (SPARK) Task Force has approved more than $130 million in relief funding for economic development and connectivity in the state. These dollars are being awarded in the form of grants to eligible businesses.  Update: Applications for these grants are now closed, but for questions or additional information email BackToBusiness@ks.gov.
  • Hutchinson CDBG-CV Small Business Grant Program - The City has approximately $27,500 of grant funds remaining to assist small businesses who employ persons from low to medium income households, and who meet some additional requirements. Update: Applications for these grants are now closed.
  • Reno County SPARK Grants - A portion of the CARES Act fudning alloted to Reno County has been set asider to help nonprofits and K-12 private schools offset pandemic-related incurred expenses, planned future expenses, and/or revenue losses.  Reno County organizations registered wi the IRS as a nonprofit or Reno County K-12 private schools are eligible to apply.  Update: Applications for these grants are now closed.
  • SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT (SCKEDD) DISASTER RELIEF PROGRAM - Provides expedited loan financing for crucial working capital in amounts up to $25,000 for COVID-19 disaster-related purposes to small businesses located within the SCKEDD District.
