Since the beginning of the year, the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce has taken on the role of promotion for Downtown Hutchinson.  In an effort to engage all downtown stakeholders, a Downtown Coalition was formed and meets monthly to share and discuss what is taking place downtown and how we can work together to continue to make improvements to the heart of our community.  Anyone with an interest in downtown is invited to attend – the meetings take place on the second Wednesday of each month at 8:30am at the Hutch Chamber office, 117 N. Walnut.

One item that arose from the Downtown Coalition meetings is the need for new streetlight banners along Main Street in Downtown Hutchinson.  Streetlight banners benefit the downtown area by adding color, excitement, and creating character and a sense of importance.  To make this happen, the Downtown Design Committee has developed three banner designs incorporating the new Hutchinson Flag.  These will be installed in the coming month using the existing banner hardware on the streetlight poles along Main Street.  Click here to see the banner designs.

Sponsorship to help cover the costs of the banners are available for $75.  Several downtown businesses have already committed $75 or more towards this project!.  All sponsors will be recognized on a downtown corner sign that will be specifically printed for this project.

If you would like to participate, you can fill out the electronic form here or contact Chelsey Dawson at 620.662.3391 or chelseyd@hutchchamber.com.  Help us add new color and excitement to Downtown Hutchinson!
