Kansas Junior Livestock Show to Remain in Hutchinson through 2023

The Kansas Junior Livestock Show (KJLS), Visit Hutch and the Kansas State Fairgrounds are thrilled to announce a three-year contract extension for the states premier junior livestock show to remain in Hutchinson.  The show has called the Fairgrounds home since 2015 and has showcased thousands of youth exhibitors and their livestock.

“We have enjoyed the Kansas Junior Livestock Show being in Hutchinson the past five years and are so excited to continue this partnership.  The leadership of KJLS, the Fairgrounds staff and Visit Hutch are continually working together to make sure the show remains successful”, said LeAnn Cox, Vice President of Operations & Tourism for Visit Hutch.

“Kansas Junior Livestock Show is looking forward to another three great years at the Kansas State Fairgrounds and in Hutchinson,” said Betsy Anderson, Show Coordinator.  Each year the show brings nearly 4,000 attendees to Hutchinson and surrounding areas.  In addition to the championship selections, the show also includes various showmanship contests, the club calf show and sale, and the LEAD Challenge.  The challenge is an opportunity for exhibitors to use a competitive environment to present knowledge of current industry related issues.

The 2020 Kansas Junior Livestock Show is the final show under the existing contract and will be in Hutchinson October 2-4, 2020.  The contract extension keeps KJLS in Hutchinson for 2021-2023.  Future KJLS dates are October 1-3, 2021, September 30-October 2, 2022 and September 29-October 1, 2023.
