The Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present the February Small Business Award to Weber Auto Glass owned and founded by David & Christena Weber.

After working for two of the largest glass corporations in the country, the owners of Weber Auto Glass felt called to do something different. They took everything they had learned and opened a business rooted in faith, integrity, and personal service. Their goal was simple: bring back hands-on, relationship-driven customer care in an industry that has become increasingly automated.

From day one, they committed to walking customers through the insurance process, especially those who may feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable navigating online systems. They answer their phones locally, take time to explain every step, and treat every customer with patience and respect. In a fast-paced world, they offer something rare—genuine human connection.

In just four years, Weber Auto Glass has grown from two full-time and one part-time employee to four full-time team members. They also provide a weekly work opportunity for an individual supported by disability services, reinforcing their commitment to inclusion and community.

Their growth hasn’t just been in numbers—it’s been in impact. They actively serve through United Way’s Hype Squad, the CCRC Purse Auction Committee, Open Door Health Services, Convoy of Hope, and by supporting local 4-H and homeschool families. They’ve even opened their space for pop-ups and community events, creating opportunities for other small businesses and nonprofits.

Inside their shop, they’ve built a culture that feels like family—offering paid time off, sick leave, insurance benefits, and a supportive, team-focused environment. They believe investing in their people is the key to long-term success.

When asked how they measure success, they said it’s not just about sales—it’s about smiles, stories, and the difference they make in someone’s day. They don’t just sell glass; they’re in the people business.
