The Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a new logo and brand identity. This will unify, under one umbrella, the various divisions of the Chamber, which include Greater Hutch, the economic development partnership for Reno County, and Visit Hutch, the Greater Hutchinson Convention/ Visitors Bureau.
In 2017, Chamber members and community stakeholders were invited to participate in focus groups as part of the development of a new brand. The first step of this branding strategy brought together online survey data, input from the City’s comprehensive plan, as well as local focus groups facilitated by Catalyst Commercial, helping gather feedback about community issues, vision for the future, and assets that make Hutchinson and Reno County unique. QueenBee Marketing was chosen to gather feedback from the focus groups and develop the creative brand identity.
From this, QueenBee presented a final design which encompasses a new vibrant vision for the Chamber – one that represents aspiring to propel the community forward, and a strong brand that represents the elements that differentiate the Hutchinson community and surrounding area. It also creates a call to action statement which will launch this year across our marketing platforms with the CHOOSE HUTCH brand followed by three key words – CONNECT. GROW. PLAY. Chamber President and CEO, Debra Teufel says, “This brand captures the reasons we hope others will Choose HUTCH – the Hutch Chamber to CONNECT our members and the community, Greater Hutch to GROW the economy, and Visit Hutch to promote the area as a place to PLAY and enjoy – our museums, attractions, recreational activities, visual, performing arts venues and event amenities.
“It was a huge task to create one identity that seeks to brand the many functions that we represent as a Chamber, but our partner QueenBee Marketing rose to that challenge and presented a brand image which is bold, fresh, vibrant and achieves all that we had imagined. It reflects our vision to propel our community forward to new heights as we connect, grow, and play together! We are excited to be bring all of our brand together with one single identity, while also supporting a local entrepreneurial firm like QueenBee Marketing- a growing business in our community,” said Teufel.
The next step of the brand launch will include a complete update to the Chamber’s digital platforms in 2018.
