Looking for a fun way to support public health in Reno County while earning money for your business?

The Kansas Leadership Center has funded a grant project in Hutchinson that is being administered by a sub-group of the Visit Hutch Tourism Coalition.  The initiative, called ‘Caught in the Act Hutch’, is looking for businesses to participate.

This $3,000 grant will be used to purchase $100 gift cards from participating host businesses and other smaller $10 gift cards from local businesses to reward people through an online contest who are caught in the act of practicing good public health practices, in particular wearing masks, washing your hands and maintaining social distancing.

To serve as a host business, you need to participate in 16 weeks of the project by agreeing to post signage at your business about the project, make sure your employees are knowledgeable about the project, provide customers who are following public health practices stickers for getting “caught in the act”, encourage those caught in the act to register for a prize by emailing citahutch@gmail.com and, if possible, assist with publicity through sharing campaign information via social media and other marketing avenues readily and inexpensively available to you.  In return, Visit Hutch on behalf of the committee, will purchase a $100 gift card from your business to be given out as one of 16 weekly prizes.

If you are interested in participating as a host business or want more information about the project, please email citahutch@gmail.com or contact Charles Johnston at 646-628-4353 for more information.
