Thursday, January 21, 2021
Rex and Marlene Nelson know the Heating and Air Conditioning business very well, having worked in Hutchinson since 1971. Marlene's parents opened Warrington Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning in the late 1950's and Rex joined the business as an employee in 1971. In the late 1970's, Rex and Marlene Nelson purchased the business from Marlene's parents and changed the name to Nelson Heating and Air Conditioning.
Nelson Heating and Air Conditioning serves both commercial and residential clients, offering repair, installation, duct work, and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) services. In addition, Nelson also provides 24-hour service, seven days a week.
While it is a challenge to find licensed experienced workers in the HVAC field, they have built a strong, reliable team of trained technicians to provide the expertise customers depend on. Their first employee was with the company for over 20 years until retiring. They have built their business of over 40 years on honesty, reliability, and doing the best they can to make all their loyal and new customers happy and satisfied each and every day.
Rex and Marlene believe in being involved in the community and serving with their time and resources. They have been a member of the Hutch Chamber since they opened their business. In addition, they are a member of the PHCC organization and Rex is currently on the Hutchinson Community College Advisory Board. They have also donated to area schools and civic organizations for the over forty years they have been in business.
Thank you Rex and Marlene for all you do for our community.
